Chance a rising senior for top schools

Hi! I am a rising senior that will be applying to architecture schools next year. I currently attend a suburban semi-competitive high school in KY who averages an ACT score of 21. I am looking at applying to the following schools: Rice, U of Cincinnati, U of Kentucky, Carnegie Mellon, Pratt, Temple, Drexel, Cornell, Cooper Union, and Pennsylvania University.

Anyway, here are my stats;

I also got 1st at a regional state competition which has been submitted to the state level. I might also get a AP Scholar award.

Summer Programs: participated in an art institute for my county in 9th grade, received high school credit for it, and will be participating in a selective architecture program for KY this summer.

Extras: I have held a job since the summer of 10th grade. I will also probably get great recommendations and submit good essays. Also, I will also be submitting a art portfolio to all the colleges. I am also declaring the need for financial aid; parent’s income is less than 55k.

Thanks!

You have an excellent chance at all those schools! Good luck (:

Penn is a high reach. Cornell is a reach. Drexel, Rice, and Carnegie Mellon are all high matches. The rest are matches and safeties. Great mix of schools! Good luck! :)

Seems like you will have a good chance at a lot of these schools! I’m looking at Temple as well.

Be sure to list all activities outside of school as well to promote your uniquness and how it will benefit college experiences and stuff, colleges look for well rounded students.
Good luck!

Chance back please? =)

You have an amazing record and you should be proud! I think you’re at least a match or medium reach for most of your school except Cooper Union. Cooper Union is ridiculously hard to get into and honestly, its up to fate. With that in mind, if you present yourself in your applications as a well rounded Renaissance man or woman and you work hard to shine light on your achievements I think you have a fair shot. Best of luck to you :slight_smile:

Chance me please?!
