Okay, well thanks so much for reading!! Please post below if you want. I can chance back (I'm not sure if I'm any good at it though). You can be harsh if you want to, I think a need a kick in the pants!

I’d say you got a decent chance to all.

Decent chance?
I’d say you’re pretty much in. Just from reading your post here on CC I can already tell you have a lot of personality, which I’m sure will show up in your essay.
Congrats on your achievements and good luck on CHOOSING where you would like to attend. :)

Assuming you’re from CA,

You’re pretty much in to University of Washington, Occidental, USC, UCSB, UCSD, UCLA, UCB. You’ve got a very, very good shot at Washington University in St. Louis, and if you can write the creative essays that UChicago seems to look for, you’ve got a very, very good shot there too.

You have a great shot at the 4 Ivies + Stanford too. But it’s important to realize that a great shot at these 5 schools is very different from a great shot at the others. Your profile is fine (perhaps a little low on ECs), at this point you need to worry about essays, recommendations, etc. You have as good a chance as anyone, but to put it bluntly, you could still very well be rejected from all 5.

Thanks everyone. Any one else’s suggestions?

@YeloPen: Yes, I’m from the Bay Area, CA. I see what you mean about the ECs. I’m not nationally ranked, nor do I have anything unusual like Taiko drumming or something. I probably will be rejected, and I’ve made my peace with that.

But I’ve always been curious what people mean in terms of percentages when they say high reach, low reach, etc. Does a “great” shot for an Ivy-ish college mean something like 10%, or even as high as 15% or 20%?

@parthenon: You seem like a really nice person. Thanks!

I have a sneaking suspicion you’ll be accepted to Princeton. I know, I know - everyone only types “high reach” in regards to HYPS to EVERYONE in these chance threads, and those who don’t are written off as insane or naive.

From what I gather, Princeton is more numbers-based and doesn’t place as much emphasis on ECs. With perfect numbers, I’d say you have a far better than average shot of getting in.

Yeah you do have an excellent chance to all schools that you apply to. It will be important to explain your ECs well, and kind of bring them together to show what you are interested in. A little bit low on the number of APs, but that doesn’t really matter. Good luck, though I’m not sure if you need it.
