I have four AP Classes senior year, with 5 additional self study tests.

EC's: 2 year varsity football experience, 10 years piano and passed the level 10 test, lived abroad (China) for a year total.
Explanations:Sophomore year I got sick for three weeks the month before finals, and just couldn't catch up, so i got a 2.7UW GPA. Junior Year I got a D in Calc AB, just couldn't figure it out no matter how hard I tried. Got a C 2nd semester and a 3 on the AP Test. (and maintained a 3.7/4.0 GPA that semester as well).</p>

<p>Your GPA is very low for the upper tier schools on your list, as is your rank. Make sure you mention that you got sick, otherwise it just looks like you either got lazy and gave up, or something to that effect. Overall, here’s what I’d say:</p>

BU - high match
Emory - match
CM - low reach
UR - high match
UM - low reach (they place A LOT of emphasis on GPA)
UNCCH - low reach (OOS)
NYU - high match
Harvard - INCREDIBLY HIGH reach
