Considering ED, but not sure--there are a lot of other places I love, too.

Thank you very much!

You would seem to have a good chance to me. It would even better if your CR and Lit scores in particular were higher, but clearly you have been performing at a high level academically so it may not matter as much. Good AP scores will definitely help to validate your GPA.

Have you considered taking a different SATII rather than retaking Lit? How about Latin or French?

Haha, you are like the steroid-ed(yeah, I made that up) version of me. I think you stand a good chance, especailly with the depth of your ECs, rank, ect. However, you are from Mass, AKA a very competative state, so make sure you shine. Or don’t, and help me get in. Good luck!

Thanks guys! And I’m planning on looking into the French SAT II in the fall. Good luck to you to you too rmadden!

All Flight of the Concord fans should be accepted.

All It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans should be accepted.

…and many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotepotenuse.

Improve your standardized tests and you’ll have a good shot, especially ED. Be warned, though, “just outside of Boston” is a somewhat overrepresented area at Dartmouth, so make sure you stand out. It looks like you may succeed here.

I got my AP scores today and they were US 5, Eng Lang 5, AB Calc 3. Would those validate my GPA? And how much do AP scores affect admissions?

Well, the 5s help.

Bringing back this old post.

Changes to my profile: got a job at an afterschool program, got AP Scholar award

Thanks!

Focus on raising the scores. MA is an uber competitive place to apply from and scores below median will make it tough. Dartmouth is very numbers oriented.

Thanks for the information, hmom

So I’ve decided that I’m going to apply to Dartmouth ED. Any advice I could get for my application? I’m retaking both SAT and SAT II’s on the October and November dates.
