I wrote my essay about being gay/gay rights. idk. i felt like i would be most passionate about that, although its a risk.

CHANCE ME FOR::: Duke, Dartmouth, Yale, Cornell, Wesleyan, U South Carolina Honors College, and Clemson Honors College.

If your essay is really strong (and not contradictory, don’t write about both sides), then you have a good shot at Duke, Dartmouth, Yale, and Cornell. I don’t know the other schools too well and will not tip on those. However, you have a really strong profile and feel that with a strong essay, you have a good chance at most schools.

Financial aid is separate from admissions for most Ivy and top schools. So you don’t need to worry about that. The only difference it can make is if for one of your essays, you write something about how lack of financial services prevented you from doing something that you would’ve done otherwise, etc.

Yale gives excellent financial need based aid. They meet 100% of need. You have a good chance at all of the schools. If you are from SC, that might help at schools in the North who like geographic diversity. I can’t really understand your selection of schools have in common- they have very different cultures. What specifically are you looking for in a school.

well, thats just it!, im terribly indecisive. I really dont know what I want. I like architecture. I like nature. When it comes to colleges, Im basically superficial. I just dont know what i want to major in… so im confused.

What sounds good? liberal or conservative, frat dominated or not, large classes or small, city or town, north or south. Take a look at U N I G O for reviews and student comments of the schools you are interested in.

Well, id like liberal, simply because i am liberal, but it doesnt really matter to me if i have different opinions from the people around me. I don’t like frats, and I’d prefer rural/isolated schools. I have no preference on class size or location. I will look into that, and thanks!

Great grades and rank, and strong ECs. Talk more about leadership positions because that’s what’s going to set you apart. SAT and ACT are also good. I’d say it’s just a matter of chance now for the really selective schools but other than that you’re good! Best of luck!
