chance a senior for combined BS/MD program

I'm a senior in high school and am looking into the combined BS/MD program with guaranteed medical school admission.

Here are my stats:
GPA: 4.0
SAT: 1800 (I know it's terrible, primary reason I am doubting that I'll get in)
Taking all Honors and AP classes offered and getting straight A's
Class Rank: 25/192
President of Spanish club, MSA, PSA, and IAK Youth
Member of various clubs including student council, environmental club, multicultural club...
200 hours volunteering at hospital
180 hours volunteering at clinic
Job shadowed radiologist and internist. Total 20 hours.
Volunteer at ISNA conference.

What do you guys think about my admission chances in ANY BS/MD program with a provisional guaranteed acceptance into medical school is?
What schools do you think I should apply to?

um try the ACT cuz theres no way youll get in with that sat score. also if u have a 4.0 and ur taking all honors and ap classes offered why is ur rank so low? everything else looks good tho.

I forgot to post my ACT score. It is 25 :frowning:
I’m stupid when it comes to these tests. Damn, I’ll probably just have to go to Purdue.
The rank is so low because my class has some very smart people. .

Yeah. I am confused too. Your rank seems incredibly low for what you posted. Also, either retake the SAT or try the ACT. There is no way to get into any even half-decent BA/MDs with that SAT.

This might make a difference. I have an 11.5 on the 12 scale. It’s converted to a 4.0, but I think it’s weighted.
I am scheduled to retake the SAT in October.
What kind of SAT score do you think will make me a competitive applicant?

realistically, around a 2300 for SAT I

I am guessing that your GPA of 4.0 is the weighted version (where it’s possible to get higher than a 4.0, since you said you’re taking AP and Honors courses) rather than an unweighted 4.0 (in which you’ve made an A in every class you’ve taken for high school credit whether they be all regulars or all Honors/AP), as that’s the only way I could see you being ranked #25 out of 192 (which puts you a little lower than the top 13%).

Your ACT score is definitely low as is your SAT score with respect to application to Bachelor/MD programs.

Well, the OP did say he is getting straight A’s so it’s possible he does have a 4.0 UW. However, that rank makes it look like you go to a ridiculously easy school to get A’s in because if you do have a 4.0 UW gpa that would mean 24 other kids have all A’s ahead of you. It’s an unlikely scenario, but there are high schools of every sort out there and I have heard of schools ending up with 20 valedictorians. The SAT is just going to further hurt you as it’s barely into the 1800s.

You awesome E.C.'s (ISNA!) but your scores are low. I;m guessing you live in Indiana, so why not just go to Purdue. At Prudue you should try to get a 3.5 Science GPA and continue your medical E.C.'s. You’ll have a better chance in four years.

How is it possible to have 4.0 and 25? Was OP a joke? If it was not and if you are looking for honest opinion, 25 is low, period, not just for combined programs.

Look at one of the DO med programs such as Gannon/LECOM:
