It's September of my senior year! Yeah! Although calc, AP Psych, and AP English may kill me. Anyways, I'm wondering about my chances at the following schools:

Fairfield Unversity
UCONN
Drexel
Colby Sawyer
Northeastern
UNH
UMASS Amherst
SUNY Stony Brook
Quinnipiac
Endicott
Emerson

GPA: 3.3 unweighted, honors and pre-AP courses. Slight upward trend. One C

SAT I: 720 CR, 630 M, 690 W

EC's: Student Council (9-10) SADD (10-11) Christ's Closet (free clothing store, 9-10) Part time job (paid for my tuition since grade 9).

National, history, and French honor societies

My intended major is nursing (speech pathology at Emerson)

I’d say Northeastern is a reach, and Quinnipiac, SUNY Stony Brook and Drexel are matches. Work on writing an awesome essay and getting great recs, and you should be fine.

(Sorry, I don’t know about the rest.)

Chance me? <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1550664-chance-me-ill-chance-you-back-super-promptly.html[/url] ”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1550664-chance-me-ill-chance-you-back-super-promptly.html
;

Done and done! I’ll take this opportunity to bump the thread!

Drexel and UCONN are low matches, and I’m not very familiar with the other colleges.

Interesting extracurriculars. How good are you at writing?

Here are my approximations based on looking up stats for these schools. I’m not familiar with most of them, so these might be a little off.

Any other major besides nursing I’d agree with most of above, however there are almost NO safeties when applying to nursing programs - they are VERY competitive, and many only have a set number of spots open (ex. Endicott and UNH are very small freshman nursing classes). Continue an upward trend with GPA, apply early to your top choices, visit the schools - Quinnipiac is a top nursing school - visit the North Haven campus with the new medical school and top notch facilities - I love it here (nursing program - was very competitive to be accepted, but worth every single effort, grade, essay, etc.). Best of luck - if you love nursing go for it!!

I’m going to the open house on the 21st! I agree, there are no true safeties-which is horrendous

-Safeties-
Fairfield
Drexel
Colby Sawyer
UNH
UMass
Quinnipac
Endicott

-Matches-
UConn: low match
SUNY Stony Brook: mid match

-Low reaches-
Emerson
Northeastern
^Apply ED/EA to one of these if you want to :)

Good luck!

I’m applying to Drexel too!! Good luck!

Thank you! All chances have been completed, I’ll take this opportunity to bump the thread
