Recs:
Teachers-I know one (AP Spanish Lang) was excellent. I'm sure that the other, by my Precalc teacher, was favorable as well.
Counselor-not so sure about this one. Probably very generic.

Essays: From what people have told me, they were good.

I've applied to:
Cornell
UNC
UMich
Tulane
Northeastern
Drexel (safety)
Rutgers-New Brunswick (safety)
Boston University
Pitt (safety)

So far I've gotten into Michigan, Northeastern, and Tulane. Tulane gave me scholarship money. I'm waiting to find out about financial aid from Michigan. Going into the process, UNC was definitely my top choice, but with the money from Tulane I'm going to have to seriously consider it and it's not so clear cut anymore. What do you guys think about my other schools? Do I have a chance, specifically with North Carolina?

Bumpbumpbump

Cornell - match
UNC - match
UMich - you’re in
Tulane - same here
Northeastern - …
Drexel (safety) - …
Rutgers-New Brunswick (safety) - …
Boston University - almost a safety
Pitt (safety) - high reach? o.O Just kidding

You have great chances I would say at even your top schools!

Chance me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1283219-chance-me-ill-chance-back.html

Cornell a match? Northeastern a safety? Lol, my GC is an idiot then. He discouraged me from applying to Cornell, said he’s never had a student get in, although I am a legacy at Cornell. Said Northeastern would be a good fit also but I might have trouble. Can’t wait to be out of HS so I can be rid of him haha. Thanks for the reply!

I didn’t say Northeastern is a safety since you are already accepted. I would say you have a 75-80% chance of getting in at Cornell and the same for UNC perhaps. That doesn’t make it a certainty just so I don’t get your hopes up too much. If I were you I would have applied some more top schools, but your GC maybe discouraged you from doing so. You seem like a great student and many colleges should want you. Chance me?
