Btw i realise cornell and gerogetown doesnt consider writing does that help me out? plus i read from wiki that stern doesnt look at sat writing. does that help?

I think SAT is fine b/c those schools don’t look at it. CCA’s are ok though I don’t see what your gpa is. All those are slight reaches, but you have an ok shot at all of them.

i dont have GPA’ s up cause my school doesnt give them. i come from singapore so that means we just have one major exam called the a levels. we have internal exams and prelim exams but all those grades are hugely grade deflated. i understand that all those schools have low acceptance rates so it’s all gonna be hard, so im just gonna give it a shot. Thanks for the reply anyway!

Hmm lets look at your academics

Your SATs are fine for those schools

But I think your A Level results aren’t that good because a lot of students will apply with all A’s and even all A*s

Your ECs are good and since you won’t be applying for any aid you have good shot at U of V NYU and U Mich

However Cornell and Northwestern are reaches as they are very selective
Georgetown is mid reach

yeah,
but i’m applying to NYU stern, so guess it’ll be a lot harder as well right? If i take an ED to NYU stern would it make much of a difference? and Singapore doesnt have A*'s yet, at least not for my year. heh

Hmm ok but since aid is not a factor it won’t be a problem for you

I actually wonder how the AOs look at our prelims and promos results coz they are so different from what one gets in the States?
Anws fellow Singapore student here :D

I think your EC is fine, SAT is fine too.
Maybe the essay would be the determining factor.
