Hooks: Legacy at Wharton

Schools that I am looking at:

Duke-Fuqua Business
Penn-Wharton (pretty much set on applying ED)
Columbia
UChicago
Northwestern

How do I look so far, I know its a bit early. Any advice would be really helpful.

i am also attended CTY Johns Hopkins summer program during my 9th grade summer. I plan to apply to the Penn M&T Summer and Penn LBW as well as some courses at Columbia and Stanford. How beneficial would it be to get a job at my yoga studio over the summer.

you’re looking like you are going on the right track.
just saying that Duke Business School isn’t for undergrads so you wouldn’t be applying to it during your senior year.
Otherwise if you’re set on business, check out Michigan (Ross) and UVA (McIntre)

Don’t drop tennis!
Keep it consistent.

ok. i wasnt sure because in freshman year I missed the golf team by one spot. tennis was like my backup sport. making varsity was a surprise. would colleges frown upon dropping the sport or would they be impressed that I could play varsity tennis as a freshman and varsity golf as a sophmore (so like a two sport athlete that couldnt play both sports due to same season)

Keeping is consistent makes it look really solid. However, being Indian, tennis is our sport!
Keep it up with the tennis. I feel like consistency would be better.

You have an incredible application so far. Given that you have 2 years, I would focus on doing something that stands out to really solidify your admissions to Wharton. You are truly excellent, but I what will differentiate you amongst all of the other smart kids applying? That would push you from Wharton is a slight reach (because it is for everybody) to Wharton might has well be a safety. However, I hear that UPenn looks favorably upon legacies so that should be enough to help you stand out. Wawa fan?

I think you have a great chance at these schools! Good job just keep it up, wish I had that GPA

what would you recommend for ec related to investing

how much weight do online courses through Coursera have. I have taken 3 classes from Wharton relating to business so far

would SAAC and HOBY count as leadership

I know for a fact that Wharton really likes leadership. Your ECs are not really impressive until you get leadership positions, which show that you are actually involved and dedicated and not just trying to fill up your resum
