I plan to go to Davidson for Political Science, if I am able to get in. I attend a low-grade rural HS in Indiana.

Class rank: 10/85 (class size will increase to at least 94 by the end of the year)
GPA: UW: 3.76 W: (We don't weight, so no idea) [Upward trend in grades, all but one B were in my freshman year)

AP:
Chem - 2 (best score in the class, awful instructor)
ES - 3
Calculus AB - 4
US History - 4
Composition - 3

(My school offers but six AP Courses, at the end of this year I will have taken 8 by taking two additional courses online)

SAT: 2000 (690 M, 640 CR, 670 W)
ACT: 30 (29 M, 26 E, 31 R, 32 S, 10 W)

EC's:
German Club
Spanish Club
Scholars of Character
Tennis (Varsity, All-Conference, Team Captain)
Cross Country (Varsity)
Track (Varsity)
Decathlon Academic Team (State Finalist Team)
Super Bowl Academic Team (Team Captain
Show Choir
National Honor Society (President)
Volunteer at local recycling center
Volunteer at political elections
Volunteer at local hospital

Hopefully I will be able to get in. I honestly feel as though the setting of my school and my family (one that does not hold education to an exceptionally high esteem) have held me back from my true potential.

Will having beyond the most challenging course schedule possible for my school help my chances?

Thank you in advance, let me know if you would like to be chanced back.
