Chance a transfer to Steinhardt????

Please chance me for Steinhardt MCC at NYU. I applied to CAS last year, and was denied,
but I omitted a lot of my EC's, recognize that I confused the essay for a personal
statement (I am a fantastic writer, otherwise), and also had average recommendations,
because I never became besties with any of my teachers.

Asking recommendation letter from professor in Radio and Television 110 class, where I took a lot of leadership
roles, wrote and produced a lot of assignments that he thoroughly enjoyed and he is an NYU Graduate School alum.

**When I sat down with my counselor, she said that every university I apply to will "throw out" the non transferable
grades, i.e. anything under 100. This brings up my GPA a little.
*Omitted classes

Also I am taking the SAT, may or may not submit it when I apply again in the spring but I do feel like it hurt
me by not having scores.

Other maybe relevant or irrelevant facts:
Female, 20
Southern California
Caucasian
Did NYU student tour in March, and will probably do it again next time I'm in NY.

To be honest, it was probably your GPA that got you rejected and not everything else. Unfortunately, they’ll still look at your HS GPA but it’s good that you’re doing better in college. What college are you at now? Because that will affect your chances. Your ECs are good.

I’m at a community college right now. But it is supposedly one of the top 100 community colleges in the country?
Any advice to improve my chances, other than getting A’s in the remainder of my classes?

Learn as much as possible about NYU and Steinhardt specifically (visit if possible) and incorporate it into your essays. Avoid cliche responses such as “NYC is full of opportunity” and stuff like that. Many people forget that each school has its own admissions counselors so they like reading specifics about their own school.
