Chance a transfer with a 2300 but bad college GPA?

I'm a freshman, looking to transfer to Cornell next year. In high school, I had a 3.8. I'm at Barnard and currently am getting all B's. I do have leadership positions here and have gotten involved. If I make a good case for why Cornell, do I even have a shot?

There’s no downside except time and money for giving it a shot. But it’s very hard to transfer in and you don’t have the best creds so I wouldn’t be too hopeful.

Don’t listen to dudebroman. If you’re looking to transfer into any top school, Cornell will be the one to take you. Our transfer admissions, among the Ivy League, may be the only one higher than our first-year admissions… which are already the highest. Some of the 7 schools have transfer acceptance rates of over 50%. Coming from Barnard with (hopefully) over a 3, you have a good shot.

I agree with dudebroman45, you should have over a 3.5 and depending on the school and major u may have a good shot. have slightly above a 3.0 will not get u in. It is ture cornell is transfer friendly, but it is still a selective ivy league.
