Chance a Transfer

Hey, I applied as a transfer to Vanderbilt University and was wondering what my chances are. I'm currently a freshman at Boston College, under their honors program (top 5% of freshman class at Boston College). For my first semester, I had a 3.9 GPA and was ranked 77/about 1600 (though, these numbers are sort of skewed because I'm a bio major and pre-med which tends to have a lower average GPA than other majors). I also had mid 1400's/mid 2100's on my SATs and graduated in the top 5% of my high school class (10th/224) with a 94/100 UW GPA and above a 100 weighted. I was involved in Habitat for Humanity, tutoring, National Honor Society, Math Team, etc in high school and am in the Pre-Mendel Society, Arab Student Association, Young Democrat Society, Math Team, and participated in Relay for Life here at BC. I feel that my transfer essay was well-written and really expressed my interest in attending Vandy next year. If you could chance me, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

bump...I'd really appreciate any opinions that you may have... I'm very anxiously awaiting my decision lol

It sounds like you have a good chance, but no one can tell you whether or not you'll get in. There will be fewer transfer spots this year than there have been in the past, from what I've heard - but you have good stats. Unfortunately, you are just going to have to wait to find out. Decisions for transfers will be out before you know it. Hang in there, and good luck!

No one knows anything about transfer admissions now. Since this year you're transferring into the most intelligent/creative/diverse/etc. class Vandy has ever had.

hilsa...it's like that EVERY year.
