White male
So basically I'm now a Florida resident as of 2008. I've gone to three different high schools (two international schools in europe and asia) and private boarding school in new england.
My gpa was a 3.1 in Freshman year (no weighting and no honors classes) average sat of school 1850
My GPA was a 5.3/7 in sophomore IB scale. average sat score 1920 (idk what the 4point equivalent is)
My gpa was a 4.9/6 in 6point scale at my school (it's equal to a 3.78/4 GPA according to my counselor with no weighting) this school's average sat score is 1950
most demanding course load at all schools. 7ap exams before grad...maybe 8...not sure yet
My Scores:
ACT=32
SAT2: Math2=750, Math1=730 and Japanese=760

I've got great Ec's....a lot of leadership.
recs will be strong.

do you think i have a shot at UF?
i don't know how they'd look at someone who's gone to many schools...but i'm in state and paying the full way. I hope things work out.
I need advice!

It looks like you have a good GPA, a great ACT score, and, according to you, great extracurriculars. You have a pretty good chance.

im just confused on how they’ll view 3 different grading systems…its confusing for me haha

i went to lawrenceville and uf treated me the same as if i was applying from instate though im paying all the way instate rate because i dont have bright futures. i think it really helped the fact that i went to one of the best secondary schools in the nation because i took a pretty average curriculum there and was a pretty average student by that standard. I felt like my GPA was artificially low because i didnt take enough APs to get weights on my GPAs and regular classes at my school were hard in the first place. UF considers the rigor of the school you went to, especially if it is one that stands out they will hopefully know about it.

they dont care about your GPAs. they recalculate them based on your transcript.
you’re in, have a nice senior year.
