Hey, I would normally not make a "chances" thread, but I looked through all the others and couldn't find anyone in a situation like mine. Responses and advice greatly appreciated.

I was homeschooled for high school, but took quite a few community college courses at WCC. After this semester (my first full semester) I'll have

Calc 1 & 2
Physics 1 (calc based)
Chem 1, Bio 1 (both with labs)
Spanish 1 & 2
American History, World History
Communications 1
4.0 unweighted GPA

SAT: 2090 (690 CR, 700 Math, 700 Writing)
Never took ACT

Next semester I'm taking English Comp 1, Spanish 3, Physics 2, and Chem 2. I would have taken English Comp sooner, but I didn't realize that UIUC doesn't take CLEP until it was too late :-( I wanted to take the fun classes (math+science). I'm a good writer and that class will be painfully easy, but I'm just under the cutoff for testing out via SAT scores.

I don't have much in the way of ECs, but I won a (homeschooled) regional debate championship and placed at Nationals last year.

I'm applying to Engineering Physics (sophomore transfer), but wouldn't mind being placed in LAS Physics -- they're the exact same program except LAS requires 4 semesters of a foreign language.

I suppose what I'm asking is this: Will my lack of ECs, formal high school, and low-ish SAT scores matter, considering my 4.0 at WCC? Second, will the fact that I haven't gotten English Comp 1 & 2 done weigh heavily against me?

Thanks again.
