Also, if there are any suggestions to make this neater, please comment as well!

Brown-reach
Case Western-in
Columbia-reach
MIT-reach
Northeastern -reach
RIT-in
RPI-match
SUNY Buffalo-in
UPittsburgh-no idea

call me crazy if you don’t get into all of your schools! Well I don’t know much about MIT but still! I don’t know what the person above me is talking about: Northeastern as a reach !?!?1?

How often do you see an AA MALE that is number one in his class and has an ACT score of 31?

I think you are going to get into all the schools. While some of the higher schools such as MIT and Stanford might be a low reach, you are a URM and will definitely get in.

I’m only family with MIT, Brown and Northeastern.

Northeastern-In
Brown- High Match
MIT- Reach

The only thing I’m confused on is how you weighted is only 4.1 when you unweighted is 3.9. I’m not too familiar with the IB program, so I’m not sure if your schedule is very competitive or only moderately.
*I’m terrible with chancing to let you know haha… So take mine with a grain of salt. P.S. I updated my stats :)

^^ Oh, I have a rigorous schedule. I decided to continue with AP Calculus over University Stats and take Physics with the Design Tech ( I have no study halls this year). Its just that everyone’s GPAs (the entire class) is a bit lower than normal. Instead of a 4.4 or something, I only have a 4.1 at the moment. MY GC says it might go up, because she suspects that there is something wrong with the computer system that calculates GPA (at one point it wasnt even weighting GPAs).

Ahh I c. Well then I think you have a good chance anywhere.

Brown- reach
Case Western- in
Columbia- reach
MIT-reach
Northeastern -in
RIT-in
RPI-in
SUNY Buffalo-no clue
UPittsburgh- no clue

Brown-reach
Case Western-dunno
Columbia-reach
MIT-reach
Northeastern -in
RIT-dunno
RPI-match
SUNY Buffalo-in
UPittsburgh-in

btw thanks for the chance

Brown-reach? I don’t know much about this one.
Case Western-NO CLUe…sry
Columbia-low reach
MIT-low reach
Northeastern-DEFINITELY IN!!!
RIT-NO CLUE…sry
RPI
SUNY Buffalo
UPittsburgh

Northwestern, Brown, and MIT are going to be really hard to get into with only a 1910 SAT. But I think you’ll have a good chance at Northwestern and Brown because you’re ranked #1 in your class. All you need then is something to demonstrates your passion and commitment to what you want to major in.

Ex. I have a friends who only got a 2000-some SAT, but is ranked pretty high in her class and is passionate about art. She did enough paintings in her house to open an art museum. So she got into UPenn’s School of arts and sciences.

I initially thought test scores determine everything, but I was wrong, and colleges are understanding. If you’re really passionate about your major, they’ll let you in. Everyone applying to high-ranking schools is going to have good academics, but you need something you spent on your own time to make yourself stand out from the crowd.

But some schools, like MIT, wanna see passion AND test scores, and basically require you to be perfect in every way, shape, or form.

Brown -Low reach
Case Western - Not sure
Columbia - Low reach
MIT - Low reach
Northeastern - In
RIT - In
RPI - In
SUNY Buffalo - In
UPittsburgh - Not sure

Your URM status will definitely help you but those low SAT I/SATIIs along with the lack of ECs will hurt you.

Brown-low reach
Case Western-match
Columbia-reach
MIT-high reach
Northeastern -match
RIT-not too familiar with
RPI-not too familiar with
SUNY Buffalo-in
UPittsburgh-in

please chance back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/837690-big-dreams-but-will-i-make.html</a></p>

Brown - Low Reach
Case Western - In
Columbia - Reach
MIT - Reach
Northeastern - In
RIT - In
RPI - In
SUNY Buffalo - Safety
UPittsburgh - Safety

URM definitely helps

@Significa and DarkKnight- Yeah, but my ACT score is 97th percentile ^^

I also didnt post all of my ECs, only my stronger ones.

Brown - low reach, high match
Case Western - never heard of it, but in
Columbia - low reach
MIT - low reach
Northeastern - in
RIT - in
RPI - in
SUNY Buffalo - dunno
UPittsburgh - dunno
good luck !!!

Thanks for the chances you gave!

I think you’re in everywhere except MIT, Brown, and Columbia which are reaches.

Brown - low reach
Columbia - low reach
MIT - pretty high reach (because they’re big on test scores)
Northeastern - in
dunno about the rest!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/838981-chances-brown-duke-uchicago-northwestern-international-tufts.html</a></p>

while i am definitley sure youll enter all of your desired Universities easily speacialy Northeastern (UR WAY IN ) i still doubt you have a good chance at MIT … MIT always seeks perfection in every single way test scores , rec’s , EC’s etc. so i doubt about it, try though who knows? maybe you’ll be lucky and get accepted!!! Good luck any way :)

Chance me Back
