Chance a URM for Stanford EA!

Just as a disclaimer, I already know that my objective stats are on par with many Stanford applicants and that my being AA will help in admissions. I just need my nerves calmed a little lol since I know there's nothing more to do than make my essays perfect..

Scores:
SAT- 780/770/800(M/Cr/W), 2350 superscore
ACT- 35
GPA- 4.0 UW
Rank- 1/>750, average public school (plenty of GA tech acceptances every year, a few Cornell/MIT/etc.)
SAT II- World History (800), Spanish (800), Math II (740), Bio (740)
AP- Bio (5), Calc BC (5), Euro History (5), Human Geography (5), Physics c (5), Spanish Lang (5), World History (5)

Senior Courseload:
Calc II & III (through GA Tech, so dual enrollment sorta), AP Macroecon, AP Lang, AP Environmental (lol), AP Gov, Internship (with Latin American Association)

Awards: nothing notable... probably National Merit Semifinalist by time of application, AP Scholar with Distinction

ECs (weak, i know. I don't really want to elaborate much on these, but note that I devote MAJOR time to the first two):
-National Spanish Honor society (President, 3 years)
-Habitat for Humanity (President, 3 years)
-Mu Alpha Theta (2 years)
-National Honor Society (1 year)
-Senior Cabinet (1 year)
-Junior Cabinet (1 year)
-History Club (1 year), just for fun
-hundreds of volunteer hours

Summers (lol nothing):
-volunteering at animal shelter (serious hours though)
-HOBY (I don't know where to put this haha)
-self-teaching catalan
-tutoring spanish-speakers in english

Other:
-African-American
-female
-intended major: IR/Econ or Iberian studies/IR
-Location: GA
-income: <60,000

I'll also be applying to Columbia, Georgetown, Duke, UGA (ea), GA Tech, Rice (application waiver ayyeee), and maybe Harvard if I'm feeling risky

Just like with any ivy league/top tier school, you never know.
However with your stats you have a very good chance of getting in. Being an URM definitely helps your case. Good luck!

I think you would be a great applicant!

I think you have quite a solid chance, especially since you have AA behind you. Perfect those Essays + Recs and you’re a shoe in :)

You are guaranteed an acceptance at a good school (because of your very good academics). Yeah, ECs are a little weak, but your academics make up for them as an AA applicant. Because of the weak ECs, can’t say if stanford is the one, it could be.

Black female with a 2350 SAT? 90%+ chances of admission to Stanford SCEA, so long as your teachers don’t hate you and your essays are OK.

Have fun in Palo Alto - it’s a beautiful area.
