Essays~
I have had my essays all edited from three different English teachers and peers as well. They believe that I am able to display my quirky, unique self enough to where schools will really see how my diverse passions really fit in with the school. I feel really awesome about them.

Arts Supplement~
I will be submitting contrasting monologues along with 16 bars of a song to show my abilities in theatre... I really want to be a part of the TAPS department at Brown, or at least be a part of theatre at other schools.

Recommendations~
English teacher: phenomenal
Science teacher: It's good, but not too amazing.
Guidance Counselor: It's really amazing. (known her personally for 4 years)
Drama teacher (arts supplement): Really amazing, too. (4 years of interaction)

Interview~
I've already personally talked to the Brown interviewer at an information session for two years in a row, and thought I was perfect for the school... He is president of the Alumni Association down here and looks forward to the interview.

You GPA and ECs are excellent and I think retaking the ACT again is a great idea. Good luck on increasing your score. Another couple of points will certainly improve your chances at the most selective schools on your list. I think you have a good list of schools.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated…

Wow! You have amazing EC’s. Your grades and APs are good as well.
As Always, it is hard to tell with the Ivy Leagues. I would say that you have a good chance at all of the schools. Applying ED to Brown will definitely help your odds. Being in touch with your representative is also a great connection.
Best of luck!

If you ACT was higher (~32 or so) I’d say you’d have a very good shot at Brown ED. Also check to see if some of these schools may require SAT II’s, I’m not really sure.

If you can get a higher ACT/SAT, I’d say you’d have have a good shot at all of them.

Brown (ED) - mid reach
Williams - low reach
Northwestern - low reach
UPenn - low reach
Bowdoin - match
Vassar - match
UF - in
FSU - in

Thank you, so it’s basically a no for Brown without a 32?

None of the schools I have listed require SAT II’s.

Brown, Tufts, Northwestern, UPenn, Vassar, and Williams are all great schools and you will probably find yourself at one of them, but it’s a crapshoot as to which ones you’ll get into. Brown and UPenn will be particularly difficult, but if you improve your test scores they may put you through.

you definitely look well qaulified for all of these schools, and the first generation college as well as hispanic minority status are definitely going to make you attractive to colleges. Brown is a reach no matter who you are, but you definitely have a solid chance of getting in; however, if you increase your act score, your chances will improve.

Assuming you get your ACT up:
Brown (ED)- Reach
Tufts - Low Reach
Northwestern - Low Reach
Bowdoin - Reach
UPenn - Reach
Williams - Low Reach
Vassar - Target
University of Florida - Safety
Florida State University - Safety
