I will chance you back if you leave a link. Thanks for your time.

High GPA and high scores make you a very competitive applicant, though you should work on getting the math section above 700. You should also mention your class size, rank, intended major, classes that you’ve taken, state, and income bracket to receive more accurate chances. I might be wrong, but your EC’s dont seem to have contiguity. Remember that top schools value not only leadership positions, but also long-term involvement in clubs. I’d say reach at Princeton, high match at Gtown and UChicago, and match at all the others. Good luck!

Thanks.

Class size is small, about 50. School does not rank, but I would be in top 5%. I’m middle class. EC’s are lacking, I agree. One small change: I meant to put Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in 11th and 12th grade also, as I still learn, but apparently did’nt.

Defenetly a solid shot at all the schools. Just study for math and retake your sat

Saludos, fellow Hispanic! :D

You’re a solid candidate for all schools. Princeton is a pretty high reach because of your lack of continuity with extracurriculars and your SAT Math score. Aim for a 700, preferably higher.

Princeton aside, you have a great shot at all other schools listed:

University of Chicago - No idea (UChicago is unpredictable with admissions).

Princeton - Mid Reach

Georgetown - Low Reach

University of Virginia (OOS) - Match

William and Mary (OOS) - Match

University of Maryland- College Park - Safety

Villanova University - Match

Buena suerte!

Thanks. That’s pretty much what I expected to hear. Hopefully those EC’s don’t kill me at Chicago!

You pretty much have a great chance at all the schools. Princeton is a reach, but your URM should help you out a lot.
Get your SAT over 2250 and you’re golden.

Chance me?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/958388-chances-yoooooooo.html</a></p>

I’d agree with decrescendo. But I would change Princeton to a high reach because your EC’s are kind of lacking.

Bump…

Things get buried so quickly in this forum…

bump…again

Graduate school does not count as a legacy.

Really? Hmmmm…

Well this is my first time chancing anyone, but I’ll take a shot.

I agree with the OP about your math score. You should definately try to get it about 700 for a good shot at Princeton or Georgetown.

Also, your ECs for 12th grade seem totally discontinuous with what you’ve done for the previous 3 years, with the exception of the politics club and tutoring. As I’m assuming these are planned ECs for your senior year, I recommend trying to continue a little of what you’ve been doing for the past 3 years.

I’d say you have a good match with all the schools with the exception of Princeton, which strikes me as a mid reach.

Hey,
everything looks pretty great to me! And being Hispanic certainly won’t hurt. As other people have said, a little higher math SAT would be good; if you get a 2200+ you’ll be in really great shape. Also, maybe it’s just hard to tell on here, but I can’t really find any theme. It would be great if you had something to emphasize that could set you apart and make you stand out.

University of Chicago - reach, but you definitely have a solid shot

Princeton - reach, but don’t apply if you really don’t want to go!

Georgetown - reach/match with a higher math, I think you could get in

University of Virginia - match/safety

William and Mary - match

University of Maryland- College Park - safety

Villanova University - match/safety

good luck!

chance me??
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/959144-chances-bc-penn-syracuse-bu-uvm.html</a></p>

Why apply to Princeton if you’re not going to attend even if accepted?

@Nikkor50mm, I never said I would not attend if accepted. But it would be a hard decision to make. And, again, I never even wanted to apply. But my parents quasi-forced me to. And @bcmd1016, I thought UVa was harder to get into than William and Mary, so how is that a safety school???

thanks.

I’m sorry, they’re probably both matches, I just think that you have a pretty good chance at both. UVA is a lot bigger, that’s all I was thinking, but then again, they have a lot more applicants.

OK, just wondering. Again, thanks.

You’re not an AP Scholar w/Distinction.
AP Scholar with Distinction: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
You’ve only taken 4 Exams.

I would not be so sure about your chances at Georgetown. It tends to be a lot harder for people in the DC metro area to get accepted.
