Chance a US applicant please?

Hi all, I've applied to McGill (should have done so earlier, but whatever). I don't know whether it's easier or harder to get in as an international, so I'm very nervous about getting in. Here I am in a rather large nutshell:

School: Very good NJ public high school that is small but well-respected by anyone who knows NJ public high schools.
GPA: 3.97 unweighted, 4.18 weighted. Ranked 5th out of 144 in my class unweighted.
SAT: 2210 (800 CR, 770 WR, 640 math [I know, I know, I'm lopsided])
SAT II: 760 US History, 720 Lit
Course load: Took and got A's in AP Art History as a sophomore and APUSH and AP English Language as a junior. Currently taking AP Stats, AP Calc, AP English Lit, AP Psychology, AP European History, in addition to a regular anatomy course and and elective. Always took the honors stuff.

Gonna get two superb recommendations: one from my sophomore yr. AP Art History teacher who loves me, and another from my Senior yr. AP Calc and Stats teacher. Probably a good counselor rec, although who knows.

Honors: National Honor Society (11, 12); Spanish National Honor Society (10, 11); Second place in school on AMC 12 (11); AP Scholar (11).

Work (biggest strength):
Paid Featured Columnist for a sports website, job goes on every week of the year
Summer paralegal at an insurance company for two years
Private tutor this year

I'm also looking at these schools Regular Decision:
Dartmouth
UVA
Columbia
Princeton
Harvard

I know I'm very much a long shot at the latter three schools, especially because I've already been rejected by Yale. But who cares, now I can go to Montreal!

So, how do I fare?

McGill: Safety (regardless of major, despite the major-heavy admissions)
UVA: Match
Dartmouth: Reach
Columbia: Reach
Princeton: Reach
Harvard: Reach

Wow, McGill’s a safety? Really? I guess I underestimated myself. I knew about all the other ones, definitely not getting into the Ivies.

Undergraduate admission to McGill is based on stats. It is not holistic: EC’s and rec’s are not considered. Since you are comfortably above the published minimum stats, admission is pretty much certain. Also, there is no such thing as “Tufts Syndrome” at Canadian schools.

Out of curiosity, what major do you intend to apply for at McGill?

I knew demonstrated interest held no weight at non-holistic Canadian schools but are you saying that holistic schools (like Queen’s and UBC) put no weight on demonstrated interest? A school afflicted with Tufts Syndrome refers to a school who puts a lot of weight on demonstrated interest, like Tufts, GWU or WUSTL.

Yeah I know, I just copied and pasted from another thread. Do you think I could get scholarship money?

And Catria, I applied the Faculty of Arts, and I’ll probably be a history/philosophy major. Slightly concerned about grading difficulty, but hopefully I can learn more about that.

To receive a scholarship, you would need: MINIMUM A average (at least 95% or GPA of 4.00, or equivalent) over last two years of full-time studies, and minimum score of 700 in each SAT or 33 in the ACT.

No, Tufts Syndrome means that a school will reject or waitlist a student whose stats are too high because they figure that the student is using it as a safety and would not likely attend if admitted. this would hurt the acceptance rate and yield.
