Thanks, and I'll chance back!

Relatively well-rounded but nothing noteworthy. Stanford and Penn are high reaches, Chicago is a medium reach, Emory, Vanderbilt and WashU are low reaches / high matches and you are in at Tulane. Don’t know much about Centre, however.

High Reach: Penn, Stanford, Chicago
High Match- , WUSTL, Vandy
Match:Emory
Low Match Tulane

if it helps, i have a nice collection of national and state awards… haha.
and thanks!

Also, applying to Vandy EDII, if that helps.

He should get in at Centre, which is a hidden gem, btw.

Centre is a safety, i’m pretty much guarenteed acceptance there.
Thanks!

If you can still change your essay, shorten it. They hate to see essays that long! That’s twice the desired length. Ok, now for chances.

Vanderbilt-low reach
Emory-high match
Centre-in
WUSTL-match
Stanford-high reach
Penn-mid-high reach
Chicago-low-mid reach
Tulane-match
Depauw-low match/safety

In my thread, add chances to Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, and Berkeley to the original 6. THANKS!

Schools:
Vanderbilt-low reach
Emory-reach
Centre-safety (According to you that is)
WUSTL-reach
Stanford-high reach
Penn-high reach
Chicago-reach (Chicago is big on essays so you still have a chance)
Tulane-match, probably a $20,000 scholarship too
Depauw-?

What hurts you the most is SAT score, just a 90 point improvement could make the difference between a reach and match for you

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1031518-chance-me-lehigh-2.html

Reaches at Emory and WUSTL…?
and does EDII help my chance at Vandy at all?
:/

WUSTL is not a match, it is at least a bit of a reach. WUSTL emphasizes test scores, and yours are in their range but hardly a slam dunk. SAT is especially low for them. Emory a bit more likely, but somewhat similar situation. EDII at Vandy probably makes little difference, to be honest.

Totally understandable. Thanks!

Vanderbilt - High Match/Low Reach
Emory - High Match/Low Reach
Centre - Safety
WUSTL - Reach
Stanford - High Reach
Penn - Depends which school but still High Reach
Chicago - High Reach (improve your chances with a phenomenal essay)
Tulane - In
Depauw - Not familiar with this school…

Vanderbilt match
Emory low reach
Centre match
WUSTL match
Stanford very high reach
Penn High reach
Chicago low reach
Tulane match
Depauw in

This just shows why chance threads are useless. These people calling WUSTL a match either don’t know which school WUSTL is, or just don’t know anything about it. I mean come on, how can Tulane and Centre be matches and then WUSTL also be a match, or Emory a low reach and WUSTL a match? WUSTL is harder to get into than Emory. Just useless, my friend. Besides, you are as capable as them at looking at the average stats of the students at each of these schools. What insight will they have that you don’t? Maybe for one school they will, like I know Tulane very very well. I know WUSTL fairly well. That’s it, other than having been on these boards for a long time and seeing a lot of people that got accepted and rejected at different schools.

You have a good list and an acceptance at a fine school in hand. Just relax and see what happens.

Vanderbilt match
Emory match
Centre in
WUSTL match
Stanford high reach
Penn high reach
Chicago reach
Tulane in
Depauw in

Fallen, sorry for whatever naivety I may have expressed in hearing others opinions, but I’ve just been growing nervous. I do, however, know that WUSTL definitely is not a match, and is more than likely a reach. However, the purpose of the thread was to find out how others, those applying and those who have already applied/been accepted view my chances. It also makes me happy to see Vanderbilt in the Match-Low Reach range. haha.
Thanks!

Vanderbilt - High Match/Low Reach
Emory - High Match/Low Reach
Centre - Safety
WUSTL - Reach
Stanford - High Reach
Penn - Mid/High Reach
Chicago - High Reach
Tulane - In
Depauw - Idk about this school, sorry!

Good luck

WashU is a reach. WashU’s 25th percentile ACT is 32, whereas it is 28 at UChicago.
