<p>GPA - 3.1 cumulative (this is party due to a bad freshmen year, I usuall get a 3.3 to 3.5 every semester) </p>

<p>ACT - 30</p>

<p>SAT - 700 Verbal, 620 Math, 660 Writing </p>

<p>I go to a prestigous college prep school in St. Louis. It is ranked 45th in the country, and the classes are very difficult. </p>

<p>Activites - I played two seasons of Football, two seasons of Cross Country, four seasons of Wrestling (varsity captain next year), and four seasons of Track and Field. I am very involved with theater. I have been in 5 plays, and will be in two more next year. I have a talent for theater and I plan on majoring in it. I am also in several clubs. The Alcohol Prevention Team, Admissions Ambasadors, and the Arts Council. </p>

<p>Alcohol Prevention Team - When I was a sophomore I was caught drunk on a wrestling trip. I had to go the hospital because of how bad it was. The whole team and I was almost kicked out of school, but instead we were suspended for two weeks. After that we formed the Alcohol Prevention Team to promote Campus sobreity. I have been very involved with it.</p>

<p>Note - I am white and upper class. I plan to double major in History and Theater. </p>

<p>Your gpa is a little low, but your SAT scores are pretty good. the ACT scores are decent too. Your extracurriculars seem to be very good, although I don’t know how the admissions officers will view the Alcohol Prevention Team. Getting drunk on a school trip looks really bad, but at least you took responsibility for your actions. Be sure to explain this thoroughly on your applications.
I think you have a good chance at most of your schools, Southern Methodist University, Gettysburg and Clemson might be slight reaches. good luck, and please chance me back!!!

<p>I think your GPA is low also, however, I think that your list has a very good mix of reaches, matches, and safeties.</p>

<p>Wow, if you are a “very average student” the US’s educational system must really be improving. But honestly, you are well above average, and you sound like a very dedicated individual despite not having a very high GPA. The alcohol incident is a minor detractor, but the Alcohol Prevention Team really shows maturity. You should be fine getting into some/most of your schools. Good Luck!</p>

<p>I don’t know how schools will look at APT, but it is admirable how you made something good come out of that situation. Hopefully schools will look at it in a positive light.</p>

<p>You should raise your GPA a little but other than that I don’t think you will have a hard time.</p>

<p>It looks like your list of schools is a good one with a decent amount of reaches, matches and safeties, like nuclearpakistan said.</p>

<p>Your GPA is lowest thing that may keep you from of the reaches. The alcohol thing is a negative thing, but as long as you can show how you’ve changed in result for the better, colleges might look more favorably upon it. Joining the APT will help prove your dedication to change though. You might have to throw some spin on your application, and you definately have the test scores, so I have no doubt you will get into a good school. Good Luck!</p>

<p>The SAT should get you into SMU. You go MICDS I’m guessing? Their students have a pretty good track record at SMU, too, which should help. I think you’ve got a very strong chance.</p>
