Chance a weary international student? I'll chance back.

<p>So I've been reading a lot more threads here at CC lately, and I'm getting worried. My chances as an international student seeking financial aid doesn't look too good. :(</p>

<p>What do you guys think?</p>

<p>Profile: A Japanese-Filipino studying in an international school in the Philippines, although I grew up in Japan. Small class sizes (100+). Doesn't really send people to Ivys and stuff, although recently one or two people have gotten into Upenn, Duke, and JHU, places like that.</p>

<p>International Student applying for Financial Aid where applicable.</p>

SAT I: CR - 740, M - 680, W - 700 (essay 9) Total: 2120 retaking in November
SAT II: Bio M - 760, Math II - 760, Literature - 740
Course of Study: Premed (Biology / Theatre double major)
Course load: Most rigorous</p>

- Typhoon Ondoy Relief Effort (reaching out to those in need from recent typhoon Ketsana, or as it is known here, Ondoy, through donations raised) - 12th

<p>Yale - applied EA: This is always a toss-up for anybody, although I think it’s a high-reach
Duke University: high match
University of Pennsylvania: low reach (I think you’ll get in)
Cornell: low reach (I think you’ll get in)
Northwestern: match</p>

<p>FA may make it tougher though…</p>

<p>I think to have a truly good chance of admission to Yale you need to go for above 2300 in SAT I, especially as an international student…</p>
