Chance a worried Junior PLEASE!

So, I am pretty focused and and excited to begin college and want to go somewhere with a great reputation and what not.UNC-Chapel Hill is my #1 choice. I have visited 3 times already and am going back again to visit this summer. I really believe I belong here. I know how ridiculous it is for out-of-staters to gain admission here, but I am in West Virginia, which is an under-represented state, so maybe that helps just a tad?

Sex: M
Ethnicity: White
State: WV
School: Public

Top 10% of class

UW GPA: 3.6
W GPA: 3.9
(Keep in mind my school doesn't offer a plethora of AP's. You cannot take any freshman year, may take 1 soph. year (AP Euro History), which I took, and a few more Jr. and Sr. years that I am taking and will load up on AP's next year. So Im pretty much taking the most rigorous classes I can. Also, my school doesn't weight honors courses if that matters because I know of some that do.) Upward trend as well.

AP's taken once I'm out of HS:
AP Euro
AP Language
AP US Government
AP Literature
AP US History
AP Physics
AP Pyschology

SAT I:
CR-760
M-690
W-740
1450 / 2190

SAT II:
Math-720
US History-750
Literature-690

EC's:
2 years of lacrosse(we didn't have a lacrosse team when I was an under-classman and we aren't even funded by the board so we hold fundraisers and raise money a lot. Thinking of writing an essay on how the team pulled together so we could be able to have a team.)
1st team all-state Lacrosse
2 years of JV basketball
2 years of Varsity Tennis
President of DECA
VP of FCA
Involved with student Government
Young Democrats Club

Volunteering:
I'd say about 100+ Hours as of now.
Relay For Life
Very involved in my church (Have gone to Haiti and Jamaica and have had wonderful experiences there. Thinking of maybe writing an essay on this as well.)
Campaign work for senator
Volunteered for the Strawberry festival

Awards:
National Honor Society
Rotary Youth Leadership Award
All-State in Lacrosse (Midfielder)
Boys State
I will be sure to do some summer programs this summer and will also get a part-time job.

Recs:
Counselor:decent? I don't even know her
Teacher: Pretty solid
Lax Coach: Good

What are my chances for:

UNC-CH
Brown University
Elon University
Carnegie Mellon
WVU

Thanks :)

pretty much on track! i dont know if your exactly right for brown as it is a very very different type of school thats looking for an intangible spark. but as for UNC i think you have a good chance! You’ve demonstrated interest by visiting 3 times even though you are out of state, be sure to mention that in your application!! You have solid scores and your course load is impressive, colleges won’t be comparing the rigor of it with kids from elite north schools, they just look to see if you challenged yourself with every opportunity you’ve had which you have! The only thing which concerns me is that your extra curricular activities are lacking in one strong focus and dedication, try to focus in on making one or two of them REALLY stand out.

yeah, I thought playing 3 sports was enough, but no? Thanks for the chances. Brown is just a reach i know, buy i’ve heard wv is such an under-represented state that I may as well apply, but UNC is where I really want to be, but it is very difficult out-of-state.

Anybody with helpful advice on how to increase my chances is more than welcome!

Carnegie Mellon = Low Reach/Match (GPA)
Brown = Reach

Dunno rest sorry

Thanks. Anybody chance me some on UNC?

UNC-CH -> Match? Being OOS hurts (I believe), but your stats are way above their medians.
Brown University -> Reach, but maybe low Reach. You have some diversity and some good scores.
Elon University -> Safety.
Carnegie Mellon - High match / match.
WVU -> “Low” Safety. :p

Chance back please
