Volunteer/EC's
North Techonlogy Club (Gonna try again for VP, or Sec. Next Year, free voting needs to fail some times ;/)
Goin for a Editor positon of the Newspaper next year
Model U.N
National Society of High School Scholars
National Honor Society

Doing Relay for Life this year
Apparently Teachers Aid counts as Volunteer Hours? (doin that with study hall next year)

I’m not going to chance you for each university since I don’t know many of them.

Your grades are good, and your ACT score is probably within the middle 50% for all universities, so in theory, your grades could get you in. However, we all know that isn’t the case for top schools such as UC Berkeley (though you will probably have a better chance at the less selective schools).

I’m not going to lie to you. Your senior year schedule is packed, and with all of those extracurricular activities, you’re going to burn yourself out at some point or another. You’re probably not going to follow my advice, but I’ll say it anyway: drop some of your extracurricular activities, at least, the ones that are more or less non-obligatory. If I were you, I’d keep Model U.N., Teachers’ Aid, and MAYBE one other, but no more. Pursue an interest by focusing on a few ECs and giving them your best ability.

I would also tell you to drop some courses, but you probably wouldn’t follow that advice, either. :-)

Remember, impressiveness does not come from a mundane laundry list of accomplishments, nor does it come from spending copious amounts of time on random ECs that you probably have no interest in (other than having something to write on your application).

Good luck!

Thanks for the Advice :D

I know that i am digging myself a grave for senior year, but i think i need to take classes like Chem/Bio to be seen as competitive by schools and i could have taken the classes this year if i didnt get placed in a ■■■■■■■ science class my fresh year while some potheads got into bio and end up taking Ecology their senior year

As for my EC’s, Relay for Life is during the summer, North Tech Club really isnt obligatory since the head is my programming teacher, he could care less if i was there since he knows the load of my schedule the past few years and id still get a great rec, Model UN meets once a week, Editors meet once a week and for NHS all i need is 40 hrs which is gonna be done in the summer, so i think the whole Extra Curricular side is pretty safe for not interfering much with my studies

If you score high and do well in those high-level classes, then you will be more “impressive.” Just having them on your transcript is half the story.

UMich, Berkely, Rice, and Northwestern are reaches. The rest are matches or safeties.
