UMass Amherst

Thanks guys, and I'll chance back

MIT - you’ll want to raise the math SAT
UPenn - Ivies are always a reach
Caltech - low reach
Lehigh - low reach
Carnegie Mellon - unsure about
UCB - if in state, high match. if out of state, low reach
Duke - low reach
BU - safety
Northeastern - safety
Umass Amherst - safety

By the way, never think that a 2070 as a junior is low. You still have 1 or 2 more times to raise it.

MIT - reach (this is always going to be a toss up- im a junior mit hopeful too!)
UPenn - reach
Caltech - reach (they use numbers a lot, but you have time to raise your sats)
Lehigh - ?
Carnegie Mellon - low reach
UCB - not sure
Duke - low reach
BU - low match
Northeastern - match
Umass Amherst - match

bump (10char)

You probably need to improve your math and science grades slightly for consideration into MIT and a few of these other technological schools (like A/A+). No offense, but most applicants are at those levels for math and science.

Also, you need to improve your SAT/SAT II if you want to have a better chance at the top colleges (MIT, Caltech, Carnegie Mellon, etc…). SAT should be at least 2200+. SAT II will need improvement for Math I. You should take Math II (since Math I is similar to SAT math) and get 800 to prove that you remediated certain deficiencies in mathematics. Also, take the SAT II Physics to maximize chances at technological schools.

You should be able to get into half of the colleges in your list currently. Just continue your hard work now and surely it’ll pay off sooner or later.

bump? (10char)

Megaman…shut up with your 1880

timmymr, I just noticed your distribution of scores for your 2030 was similar to tmanneopen. The only difference was that tmanneopen got a 640 on CR while you got a 600 there.

You should definitely try to work on improving those scores; 700+ for everything; 750+ for math.

Ones I’m familiar with:
MIT—high reach
UPenn—reach
Caltech—high reach
Carnegie Mellon—low reach
