Chance a worried Senior!!!! :/

Hey!
Im currently a CA Senior and need help!
I have an SAT of 1550, ACT of 24 and a gpa of 3.85, weighted.
I currently want to study some type of engineering, possibly construction, or even construction management.
However i still need to determine my "safeties, matches and reaches"
Chance me pleaseee!
San Diego State
Cal Poly SLO
Chico
San Jose
Long Beach
UC Irvine
Pepperdine
Also any recommendations? Preferably safeties?

You need to calculate your CSU/UC GPA, see link: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc</a>
For Cal Poly SLO, you also need to recalculate your CSU/UC GPA using 9th grades.
You should also calculate your EI: For SAT (CSU GPAx800) + (SAT math + SAT CR) or For ACT (CSU GPA x200) + (ACT composite x10)
Here is SJSU EI thresholds from last year to get an idea if you are in the running:

Your unweighted GPA looks competitive but your SAT/ACT are low for most of the schools on your list. I suggest you retake, since I do not see school on your list that could be a safety.

UCI/SLO: Reach
Pepperdine/SDSU/CSULB: Low Reach
SJSU: High Match
Chico State: Match

You should look at CPP as another Match school. For Safeties, consider Cal States Fresno or East Bay

For SLO or UCI, you need to aim for an SAT of 1900+ or ACT of 28+
For Pepperdine/SDSU/CSULB aim for an SAT of 1800+ or ACT of 26+

Good Luck. Just remember, the majority of the STEM majors (Engineering) requirea an above average GPA and test score to be competitive.
