NYU-Definite match
Malcalester-Match-low reach
UChicago-just crossed the threshold of reach; you are in good shape

I have to say, I am envious of your rank/test scores–it’s so annoying that my school doesn’t rank :(

While your GPA is eh, your rank/scores make you shine. Also, it seems that your grades increased with each year: colleges like to see improvement also so that’s also good. Good luck!

UChicago - Sounds like a pretty good match, GPA may be pretty low. Too many B’s but I wouldn’t rule it out at all
Macalester College - Not familiar with it at all. I have no idea honestly
NYU - I think you’ll get in. Someone from my school with a similar profile was accepted last year.

Hey, thanks everyone! I wanted to post an update, just in case someone with similar stats comes along at some point and wants to compare: I was rejected from UChicago and waitlisted at Macalester, unfortunately, and I’ve yet to hear back from NYU. I’m also still waiting on Oberlin College.
I was, however, accepted at Brandeis, UVM Honors, UConn Honors, American, and Bard, all of which are excellent schools at which I’d be proud to matriculate.
Best of luck to everyone still waiting on decisions, as well as those who are applying next year! The process sucks, but the results will hopefully be worth it.
