Chance/Am I on the right track

So I am interested in getting into Cornell but I am just ending Freshmen year so I was wondering what else could I do to improve my chances of getting into Cornell University or any UC college. (Preferably medical or a form of art) Also, could you tell me if I am on the right track.

GPA: Unweighted/Weighted
3.570/3.429 (No idea why...)

Extra Curricular Activities:
My Church's Youth Group
Leo Club - Class rep
Orchestra (Viola and plan to play for all 4 years of High school)
(I know I need some more but I don't know what to do)
I might run for a class officer like secretary or treasurer (Junior year) but I dont know yet.

Other:
This upcoming summer I am going to UCSD for Academic Connections for the field of Forensics.

Classes:
I am taking the hardest classes I can and fit in my schedule, juggling Orchestra, PE, Journalism, and French. I plan to take French three years since I couldn't fit it in my schedule during freshmen year. For my Sophomore year, I am taking Advance English, AP World History, Chemistry, and Algebra 2/Trigonometry. For Junior year, I want to take AP US History, AP Biology, AP Lang, and Pre-Calculus. But I want to do Teacher Cadet or AP Art for Junior year unless I can fit it in my Senior year. It's just I want take Teacher Cadet because I love working with kids and AP Art because I love showing my creative side.
