Play up your DECA involvement in your app/essays, and you’ll be set. You should look into more Ivy league schools too, since you have a good shot of getting in.

Your SAT is fine since you’re an URM, but if you did get 2200+, you could feel much more confident.

NYU - in
Princeton - high reach
Harvard - high reach (scores too low)
Columbia - reach
University of Miami - in (OH or FL?)
Emerson - in

Maybe consider Yale? They are more committed to diversity (comparatively, to other Ivies, in my experience), so your race/minority status will help there.

That being said, it probably helps at most schools.

NYU= Match
Princeton, Harvard, Columbia= Reach (low scores but great GPA; ECs are nothing spectacular but won’t cripple you)
Emerson= safety
Miami= safety?

Harvard, PRinceton, and Columbia i feel are reaches (although columbia isnt a far reach at all). NYU, Miami, and Emerson id say youre in. Perhaps have a few matches though, such as Rice (best school ever) or Cornell (not Rice…)

thx for chancing me
i really like ur EC’s.
they are diverse and u show ur passion with writing.
ur SAT may be a little bit low for ivies but don retake unless ur absolutely certain u can get 2200+ becasue it’s bad to take more than twice.
other than that, u r pretty much set if u get good essay and recs. :D

The reason why I say reach for P, H, and C is that you have pretty impressive ECs, but your SAT is kind of low…but you are a minority so that works pretty favorably. Also, essays can really help! yep, good luck! Your GPA is great! And that definitely helps a lot. I’ll say you’ll probably get in one of PHC. Maybe, good luck!

Impressive ECs, GPA and class rank, for sure. Test scores are a bit low for Ivies, but some of this is mitigated by race/ethnicity and by the rest of your resume. How do recs and essays look?

NYU - in, Stern could be a little rough though
Princeton - reach, but not unlikely
Harvard - high reach
Columbia - reach
University of Miami - in! probably in the honors program, too, if they have one
Emerson - in!
