Chance an AA Female for Elite Schools :-) Updated Stats.

Recs–> Guidance Counselor: one of the best… English teacher–> rare student Math Teacher –> Talks about how I separate myself with me publishing a book.

My essays –> Very personal. I talk about everything from the books I’ve read, movies I’ve seen, and people who have taught me invaluable lessons :-)

Alsoooo anybody else chance me @ yale also!!

-NYU-in
-Princeton- (show passion and try to get the sats up a little)
-Harvard-(same as princeton)
-Columbia-reach ( but better than harvard and princeton)
-University of Miami- in with scholarship
-Emerson- in

have you considered applying to a few other top 25 schools? cause i think you have a great shot at those places as well.

Well I am applying to Yale also…gulp hahahahaha. But thank you, vlau007.

Thanks for chancing me. . .your SAT scores are pretty good, not stellar but certainly in the competitive range. You are obviously well off in class rank and have amazing ec’s. Unfortunately NJ has many kids apply to top schools, so you are at a geographic disadvantage which is probably more than offset by the affirmative action benefits you will most likely receive. I’d say HYPS=2/10 NYU=9/10 (only because I don’t think anything is ever guaranteed at top schools)
Columbia=5/10
Emmerson and Miami are both 9/10
Good luck

i guess you have a good chance at all of the ivies… it is a reach for everybody, but if your essays are really good and show how much passion and curiosity you possess, i think you are at least a considerable applicant. they still have way too less aas on campus (i know that from princeton myself, probably the same with yale and harvard), so it will help you quite a bit, it my opinion. your summers look cool, you were pretty active.
i dunno, would say you try and retake either sat i or 2 in dec or jan… i mean, 2100 is ok, but it´ll improve your chances a lot if you can get it up to 2200. if you don´t think you can improve, try and re-take the subject tests- they are soo easy to study for and a 750 in a subject does look impressive too (even if they are not as valued as sat 1)
good luck!

chance me back please ^^
