Wow! Your ECs are amazing! You’re probably in for every school except Harvard and Princeton, but then again, they’re reaches for everyone. You stand a great chance!

I’d say you have a decent shot at all of them. If your courses are as rigorous as your school allows (you’ve only taken 1 AP class so your GPA is not as good as you might think, 4.0 with honors is different than a 4.0 with AP classes, 200 kids from my state were rejected from UGA, not considered that hard to get into, with 4.0s taking only 1-2 AP classes, but you’ve got a couple advantages over other students - 1. Race, 2. Published Novel) then I’d say you’re in at most places.

Just read on online article ([15-Year-Old Publishes Novel on the Raw Truth About Depression and Insecurities](<a href=“15-Year-Old Publishes Novel on the Raw Truth About Depression and Insecurities -- 5W Public Relations | PRLog”>15-Year-Old Publishes Novel on the Raw Truth About Depression and Insecurities -- 5W Public Relations | PRLog)) about your book, it looks interesting

just used UGA example because the counselor always uses that to get kids to take hard classes

Thank you, Geoffs :-)

I think you’re into all three. African American girls at my school with lower stats have gotten into the schools. I’d like to read one of your books…

NYU, UMiami, Emerson – full ride, lol.
Columbia – mid-reach?
You’ll get into one of HYP, I think.

WOW NOVEL PUBLISHED!! Im super jealous

NYU is a no brainer
Columbia is a low reach
Harvard and Yale are reaches for anyone!

I think you can get into columbia!!!

Tee hee Thank you.

I really cannot see too many flaws with your transcript at all. I would simply put “all in” but that would be careless while talking about Ivies. I would say that for NYU, Emerson, Univ. Miami you are a in without a doubt. I would go as far as to say that you are nearly certain to get into Columbia as well. Your novel seems to fall in line with what Yale or Harvard would appreciate as well. Even the best students that apply to these two have around a 50/50 and without a doubt I am sure you are among them if not a tad higher. As for Princeton I can not even try and predict their admissions. They are the most spontaneous admissions program I have ever heard of. If they are anything like that of Harvard or Yale I don’t see any numerical or ec. related flaw on your transcript that would lead to them rejecting you. Good luck with your college hunt!

Keep in mind that schools like Princeton and Harvard are not only looking for good students, but students that complete their student body. It involves a little bit of luck as well. A student may be 100% qualified, but they might not complete the student body they ideally want. That being said, it still may be a reach, but not impossible, and that you still have a decent chance compared to other people. Hope that helps! :)
