Okay, here goes.

Rank: 4th
Curriculum: IB, toughest school has
ACT: Composite - 28 (I know)
Essays: Pretty good I think
Extracurriculars: Academic Decathlon, Cross Country
SAT II: Spanish (650) Literature (630) US History (680)

Schools I've Applied:
Princeton
Brown
Cornell
Northwestern
Univ. of Pennsylvania
Univ. of Minnesota
Univ. of Illinois (in-state)
Univ. of Wisconsin

Have you taken the SAT I?
Is your GPA weighted or unweighted?
How many IBs have you taken?

Do you have any more ECs? How did you perform in the Academic Decathalon and Cross Country?

Even with URM status, you’re not in with that ACT score. You SAT II’s are also way too low.

^
I agree. You might have a chance with better or more impressive ECs.

EDIT: What is your graduating class size?

These people do not know what they are talking about. While your scores are low, you certainly still have a chance and you should apply regardless of what people on these threads say.

@ChrystalJ,
I believe he has already applied…
I’m saying he may have a chance.
He’s probably/definitely in at U of Illinois…
I just want a little more information so I can make sure I’m right or not.

Yeah my post as mostly directed at the other guy

also, i would say youre fairly certain to get accepted at minnesota and wisconsin

^
Okay sorry if I seemed a little rude. I just didn’t want to come off as discouraging.

Im 4th out 400 students.
Full IB Diploma Student
I was a decent runner for Cross Country, not amazing, but I did win a gold medal at state in Academic Decathlon.

All of that definitely increases your chances. :)

Still, your ACT is way tooo low. Man, that’s the thing holding you down. And it’s probably the heaviest aspect of your application, so yeah :/.
