Generally I'm against these threads, but these past few weeks have made me incredibly anxious over this college process. I would love to get a second opinion on my chances.</p>

<p>Floridian Caucasian looking to major in ChemE/Chem or Economics</p>

<p>Scores:</p>

<p>ACT: 34</p>

<p>SAT:
2140 (M800/CR670/W640)
2050 (M800/CR700/W550) <--[slight super-score boost?]</p>

<p>SATII:

MathII-800</p>

<p>GPAUW: 3.55
GPAW: 3.92</p>

<p>AP:
5 - Chem
Here's my schedule senior year (all AP):
Calc BC, Micro/Macro Econ, Physics C, Computer, Statistics
Honors English</p>

<p>I know that my grades aren't stellar, but I address this in my essay (finding myself sophomore year.) My grades do look exponential on the transcript, all A's this year.</p>

<p>Recs: One from Chem teacher who changed my life, other from History teacher. Both are fantastic.</p>

<p>Essays: (Two total) 1: mentioned above, 2: the best I've ever written (about an experience in Kyoto)</p>

<p>EC's:
Lots of volunteering with local farming community.
Work with Professor Emeritus at Botanical Gardens over summer
Stanford EPGY
MAO + Math Tutoring(9-12) Head of Stats division, award winner at state level

School is small, private and doesn’t rank.
It’s fair to say I’m in top 10 out of 80.</p>

<p>Also, I am a Nat. Merit Scholar Semi Finalist</p>

<p>I feel your ECs are lacking and will hamper your chances for the high and Mid Reaches.
If you rank 9/10 its a problem. If so add one level to each chance. ie in-match-low reach-mid reach-high reach-reject.
Top schools do not like ANYTHING below top 10%.
