Chance an artsy junior? Harvey Mudd, Brown, Yale

Lookin good. The things I see missing right off the bat though are awards/honors and leadership.

Directing a play is leadership in a sense but not an outright leadership position. If you can pick up a leadership position somewhere it’ll look nice; it’s not a huge deal, given the directing, but just something to look out for.

As for the awards/honors, you should really seek out ways to validate your skills; Math skills would be preferred, but artsy or anything else is fine as well. Submit artwork to competitions or magazines, see if there are any mathematics competitions you can get involved in. Even if you’re just winning little awards at local events, it gives validity to your work.

The Chemistry band thing is quirky and pretty funny- if you could do ANYTHING to give validity to that, I bet it would be pretty helpful (whether it be making money on iTunes or just doing a few local performances).

Research/internships is always look very good as well, whether or not it pertains directly to mathematics.

Anyways, just some random thoughts/ideas. Not going to chance you, not really a fan of “chancing.”
