<p>You are complaining that your new school won’t include your 8th grade classes. High school transcript is grades 9 - 12. Your new school is not doing anything wrong.</p>

<p>smoda61, I received HS credit for my eighth grade classes - however, my current school would not transfer the credits because it would have been a ‘significant advantage’ over students currently at my high school.</p>
<p>I found out my class rank is actually something like 17/175, and my GPA is 4.18/4.55 W. This, I think, helps my chances.</p>
<p>I like how once everyone started pointing out that you had no chance of getting into these schools because of your rank, your rank suddenly jumped to 17/175, just under the 10th percentile!!!</p>

<p>Really play up on your summer programs because they are pretty impressive. Also make sure you show continuity in your ECs; do not just enter a club and then not continue to be involved in it. Your personal statement choices for UofChicago seem pretty dang interesting! David Bowie?? Niiiiceeee 
And if you cannot think of any good essays, think of something personal. If you like David Bowie, do you like Queen? Since you definitely know good music, talk about a certain artist’s influence on you. Otherwise, your only reach would be Dartmouth. But you have a good shot at all.
