<p>I’m not sure who your friends are, but the number of kids getting into Stanford or Columbia with a 600CR is minuscule, and given that 40% of the classes are comprised of recruited athletes, legacies,URMs and staff and development candidates, it doesn’t take rocket science to figure out who has the 600.</p>
<p>The chance of an unhooked Asian being accepted to an ivy with a 600 is probably one in a million unless they are brilliant and coming from Asia without ever having studied in English. I’m assuming you attend a US high school what with multi cultural day?</p>
<p>To be blunt, the why not is that you should focus your application efforts on schools you have a chance of getting into. And when the adcom at schools you are competitive for see your list it will decrease your chance because they will question, with good reason, whether they will yield someone who has been hoping for colleges in a different league.</p>
