<p>I'm a junior at an international school in southeast asia. To be specific, in myanmarrr.
I'm thinking of majoring in econ/political science. Please recommend me any schools :)</p>
<p>SAT I: 2210 (780 critical reading, 740 math, 690 writing) - retaking in may. i can do much better in writing i assure you.
SAT II: none. planning to take WH, math 2c and spanish</p>
<p>unweighted GPA: 3.80~3.90 ish? </p>
<p>AP/IBs:
10 - ap environmental science (5): this is the only ap class at school
11 - all ib subjects: spanish b sl, history hl, math hl, english a1 sl, econ hl, bio sl</p>
<p>Awards:
small awards given out at school. </p>
<p>Summer Programs:
a summer camp for Koreans living abroad to experience korean culture, etc.
applied to bunch this summer, hope i'll get in :S</p>
<p>Extracurriculars:
Bassoon
- school band (11~) started in 9th grade but took it as a class till 10th grade. i take it during study hall now
- AMIS honor band bassoonist (11): pretty competitive, band festival for international school students, have been auditioning since 10th grade and got in this year!
- may tutor a middle schooler. not sure</p>
<p>Environment
- school environmental club (9~)
- afterschool envrionmental club for elementary students (11): basically my friends and i teach a bunch of elementary school students about the environment.
- and bunch of other projects yet to be finished.
- thinking of joining a local ngo. :)</p>
<p>MUN + Global Issues Network
- MUN (9~): just a delegate, just doing this for the sake of practicing public speaking.
- GIN conference organizer: part of the organizing committee for the local conference. basically what we do is raise awareness about different issues among students by giving them opportunities to interact with ngos and each others.</p>
