Hey guys, I'm a junior at a semi-competitive school. I hope to someday become a doctor and I would like to be chanced at HYP and Columbia. I know I probably won't get in but I appreciate all your input.

School Type: Public

Weighted GPA: 4.68
Class rank: 6/603

ACT: 34

EC's:

Fundraising is my strongest EC (the money went to my church because it is having a hard time).

Ran a silent auction which made 9800$ and got 245 volunteer hours.
Ran a car wash which made 1300$ and got 80 Volunteer hours.
Ran a Church dinner which made 850$ and got 27 volunteer hours.

My other ECs are medically related because I want to be a doctor.

Volunteering at local hospital (around 300hrs)
Shadowing Physicians during Summer
Microbiology research at Univ. lab during summer
Cleveland Clinic Internship this summer

My last ECs are not really pertinent but I lovedd doing them.

Volunteering at my Church as Sunday School teacher (350hrs)
President of Church Youth Group
Founder and President of my schools Ethical Issues Club (we just get together and debate ethical topics once a week)
President of Debate and Speech Club (I love debating lol)
Varsity Tennis 10-12 grades

Thannk you all so much for reading and I look forward to your input.

I would like to say you will probably get in to Columbia and Princeton more than Yale and Harvard. You do have a good chance though, although with those 4, nothing is assured. Good luck.

Well, I think your stats are pretty great. So much leadership, and all of that fundraising on top of that. And your academics aren’t too shabby either. You’re likely in at one of the HYPs (if that’s the correct use of that term) or Columbia. keep it up!

Yea your in I would say. The only thing I’m concerned about is how you would prove to colleges that you raised all that money. I’m not sure if you need documentation or something.

Your ethnicity will def come into play. There are quite a few asians with many more aps impressive ecs and better test scores. I say you get into columbia though

Stop making new threads under different names. You’ve had replies and now you are just cluttering. Also, stop slightly altering your stats and resume. You are clearly adjusting how you present yourself in order to fool your ego into believing that you have a better chance than others have given you.

During School Year:
Founder and President of Ethical Issues Club (6hrs/week)
President of Speech and Debate Club (4hrs/week)
Vice-President of Youth Group (3hrs/week)
Volunteering at Hospital (6hrs/week)

Summer:
Cleveland Clinic Paid Internship
Microbiology Research at Case Western Reserve Univ. (might write essay about)
Shadowing Physicians

Major: Pre-Med

Seem familiar?

EDIT: Upon further inspection, I have found that you have taken atleast 3 separate identities on this forum, even going as far as to answer your own question. Your identities are ethics, ethicist, and now infallible.
