Chance an Average Kid for the UCs

I am an Asian senior from a top 100 high school in California. My UC GPA is 3.02, however, if you count my freshman year it is 3.6. I will also most likely get a 4.0 this semester. I am aiming for a business-related major, and want to go to law school later on.

bump please, i would appreciate it

What UC’s are you aiming for?

Your GPA is awfully low, and for UC’s, its ultimately down to the GPA.

I would say any of the UC’s will be fair game for you except for SD, LA, and Cal.

I would say you have a 40-50% chance at SD, and lower for LA and Berkeley.

basically every UC but LA and Berkeley.

bumppp please

Getting into UC’s is a complete number game. I took a look at UCSD’s point system and a bulk of it is GPA… that’s really gonna hurt you. I think everything is within reach other than LA and Berkeley… SD is gonna be hard.

no shot at SD. GPA is just too low.

well, if UCSD is out of the question, does that mean all the other UCs are matches?

No. I’d say in at Merced/Riverside. Maybe in at Santa Cruz. The mid-tiers are reaches.

oh, thats semi-depressing. Would submitting my ACT score over my SAT help my chances?

in-merced/riverside
good chance- santa cruz
reach- sb, i, d, (i feel like im forgetting one UC, probably goes here)
high reach- sd
really high reach- b, la

EDIT- if they consider top school in CA could possibly change a bit; not too sure if they do though
EDIT2- this feels needy, but chance me back eh? lol

You submit both in your application anyways. Your test scores are pretty good; the knock on you is your GPA.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you got into one of the mid tiers if you applied to all 3, but they are reaches

alright then, damn. Well, out of the 3 mid tiers, SB is the one I want to go to, the most.

please, out of the 3 mid-tiers, which one seems most likely that I will get into?
