senior chinese male who lives in state
my gpa is 3.5 uw and 3.8 w
clubs:CSF, interact, students run LA, amnesty international and chinese club
i have been on the volleyball team for 3 years
i am deciding to apply as an environmental engineer
senior classes:
english 4
Govt/econ
volleyball
physics ap
APES
Calc BC ap

my test scores are low.. i will be retaking the SAT(subject tests included) and ACT
my sat score is around 1620 and my subject tests are 650 for Math2 and 600 for USH and my act is 24 which are all low

i only took 2 Ap classes previously(Calc AB:4, APUSH:3)

I'm deciding to apply to UCR, UCI, UCSD CSULB, poly, san obispo

my dad went to CSULB, so i'm sure that i will be able to get in there, i don't know about the other schools.

UCR=Percent applicants admitted: 79% so, really good chance.

UCI= Percent applicants admitted: 49%= but their sats arent that high, so its more of a target than a saety
UCSD=okay. a low reach.
California State University: Long Beach=target. your act is their 75% starter
poly san obispo=reach mid reach.

SLO depends a lot on what you are going to major in. For engineering I’d say you’re reaching. UCSB is hard to say - your scores are low. UCI possibly, but they have cut admissions this year and I’d think it will be at the same if not a lower level next year. CSULB and Riverside are matches. Try and get your scores up to at least an 1800.
