<p>Unless he’s got autism or something there’s no reason to explain GPA because if I was an admissions officer I’d brush that aside as just a pitiful excuse.</p>
<p>For Emory, show a LOT of interest. Email the admissions officers. Visit. Order their DVD. </p>

<p>The supplement (not this years but it’ll be similar anyway). Do as much as what the checklist towards the bottom asks as you can.</p>
<p>I’m applying to Emory this year with a similar GPA (though with a much harder schedule) and I’m trying to visit campus, attend a college fair, etc, since it’s one of my top schools.</p>
