Chance an average student. Seriously, not "oh I'm average, chance Harvard please."

I know this was last posted in almost two months ago, but I would appreciate if I could be chanced for my (maybe…well, probably) final list of colleges to apply to. I also have a couple more questions that hopefully someone will be able to answer.

First, I would like to just re-post my info, as some of it differs from the first post.

Male
Caucasian (I will not be applying as Native American because my family failed to keep records of our ancestry and this would make registering [something I probably should have done a LONG time ago.] a lot harder.)

Keep in mind this is for BUSINESS:

REACHES: [Should I even bother to apply at these? Or should I get some more low reaches?]
Boston College (EA)
Villanova

MATCHES:
Boston University
Fordham (EA)
Gonzaga
U of M - Twin Cities (Rolling application, but applying ASAP.)
University of San Diego

SAFETIES:
St. John’s University (EA)

Are those all in about the right spot?

Now for the questions:

-Is it better to ask a junior year or senior year teacher for your recommendation? (This is a stupid question, I’m sure. However, I feel, at least for the colleges I’m applying early to, that my junior year teachers might know me better.)

-I’m considering adding an additional safety college, does anyone have any recommendations in addition to the ones that have already been posted? (I’m considering those as well, but I almost feel like I’m not looking at enough colleges.)

-Can anyone tell me a bit about CUNY - Baruch? Someone mentioned it to me and it seems to have a pretty good business school and a great price, however I can’t find too much information about it other than its website and I don’t see a subforum here to ask in.

Also, Baruch’s website admissions page says this:
Alternately, the College will admit students with minimum SAT/ACT scores of 1200/27 respectively.

If I’m not reading that wrong, does that mean with a 31 that I’m pretty much in? Otherwise is it difficult to get into? (I’m hoping for another safety here ;))

Thank you for your help and again I apologize for bumping this.

Boston College is single-choice early action. If you apply there EA, you can not apply to any other schools EA.

I would say your Match/Reach/Safety placement seems to be pretty accurate.

I asked sophomore and junior teachers for recs. No senior… that’d be difficult.

With that CUNY school, if they will “respectably admit” people with those scores, yes, you are automatically admitted with a 31.

Lastly, you were looking for another safety. I’d through Purdue into that spot, or possibly IU.

PS: Why in your right mind aren’t you applying to UW-Madison? It has a GREAT business school, and is located semi-close to you.
