Hi!
Basically I'm a junior who is an average student. I have a 3.5 GPA, no honors or AP classes what so ever. I'm taking the SAT in March and I am expecting in the 1750ish range. I will also have excellent teacher recommendations. My ECs are weak since all I have is sports and work experience. I'm a pretty good track runner and I'm captain of the varsity team as a junior. Can you chance me at the following schools :

University of Rhode Island
Virginia Tech (I know this is a reach but I want to see my chances if I do ED)
University of Vermont
U Mass Amherst
Elon (Complete reach but they constantly send me emails and mail)
Coastal Carolina
University of Tennessee
SUNY Albany
SUNY Buffalo

No honors or aps is prob gonna hurt ur chances at vt elon n maybe even uvm but everywhere else you should have a good chance at getting in with umass maybe giving u a bit of trouble

What is your state of residency? For UT, if you’re not a TN resident, it may hurt your chances considering you do not have stellar stats. UT’s requirements are becoming more select by the minute. You should be good to go for Coastal as well, the rest I’m unsure about.

I think you would be accepted at either SUNY school and could also get a scholarship from UB as a first-gen, low income student if your SAT scores are over 1200…check out their Acker Scholars program and make sure to prep well for your SATs! Get a fee waiver from your guidance counselor, if needed, early in the year!
