that's all guys. I know its not great, and Im not aiming for top Ivies. I just want to get into a decent college of my choice, that is good for either aeronautical engineering, or MBB/Biochemistry.

Oh sorry, I forgot that the new session has already started in India. Anyways, UIUC and Georgia Tech, as mentioned before. You could also try CMU and Penn State.

You think I can get into Penn State and CMU? Im seriously doubting my chances in UC’s too. I feel like Im going to get into some very bad college, and fail in life. :P

College, undergrad especially, is not be all or end all. I friend of mine got rejected from most of the universities she applied to and ended up going to a community college in California. She recently finished her masters at Berkeley.

your EC are very good especially in sports! So you could even try for admission on athletic ground. And you still have time to improve your score!

you definitely have a chance at GTech, UIUI, Michigan etc. and they are all good universities for engineering.

Do you still qualify as a California resident? If you do, then definitely apply to Stanford(around 45% Californian students only), Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD. The last two should be fine even if you aren’t.

p25 and Tizil have given good suggestions, check out RPI, WPI, Lehigh to name a few. Wisconsin-Madison is worth a look too.

@p25 - Thanks! I also was wondering about any other suggestions you might have. I have a year left.

@tastycycles - Im not sure about that. I lived there from 1998 to 2010. Then I lived in india from 2010 to 2013. Yeah, I’ll look at those. Stanford with those scores and grades? I don’t think so…

If you’re a US citizen, and your parents pay tax in California, you’re a Californian resident.

And if you are, Stanford will as much of a reach as it is for someone with higher scores because 45% of their class is Californian - and the average scores for this section of students is lower than the overall average. So it’s worth a shot, no matter how long that shot is. Plus, if you write good essays, you never know ;)
