<p>I read this entire thread, and like Valkarie, I’m definitely rooting for you. I do have to agree with hmom/etc/ though that, as you already know, your chances are pretty low. But all you can really do at this point is write AMAZING essays, get great recs, and try and explain your situation the best you can on the app without coming across as whiny. Emphasize the hard work you’ve put in and try to put out reasons why you would be a good addition to their college.</p>
<p>Cornell is typically considered one of the “lower” Ivies, but it’s still prestigious nevertheless. ED should help you somewhat, but it’ll prooobably end up being chance
