I would put volunteering on here but there's not even a place for it on app. Around 200+ hours

Interview: I'm having it this Sunday hopefully it goes good

Essays: General one felt ok though not necessarily great, SFS one felt better but not glowing. Maybe I'm just a little hard on them though.

Applying to:

Georgetown SFS (EA) - I think I'm set on it as my first choice unless I get significantly superior FA somewhere else

Yale
Dartmouth
Amherst
Tufts
Pomona
Rice
Boston College
University of Texas - Austin
Texas A&M - College Station
University of Houston

As an URM you probably have a bit of a leg up. Decent scores and grades. The main negative I see is that the EC list you given us makes you look more like a future engineer not SFS guy. Georgetown SFS is so selective, it’s really impossible to predict chances. You might get in, you might not.

Ya engineering is my second passion and I’m going with int’l rel. mainly because I’m not a big fan of math which is essential to engineering, nevertheless history is my #1 thing.

I forgot to add that I am doing Model UN this year (it was restarted again this year) and UIL Social Studies and Current Events (UIL is like the way Texas competes in everything) so hopefully that helps.

I found a lot of the stuff I wanted to put on my app was missing so since my interviewee asked me for a resume on EC’s I’m just going to ask her if she’ll send it in with the rest of my interview.

Thanks mathmom

with a 1430, you fall well below the 50th percentile of admitted applicants to SFS ([Georgetown University- Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://uadmissions.georgetown.edu/applying_firstyear_sdprofile.cfm)). after that you’re fighting an uphill battle the rest of the way

^
Well those stats can be misleading, not every accepted SFS applicant with a 720 CR necessarily had a 700 M score, and vice versa.
