^ good ECs, but again they are not above average, but its great that you are passionate. definitely try to highlight your strengths. good luck

I would really appreciate more feedback guys and gals!

@ImSoAmbitious, there’s more to life than chasing highers scores. I know a guy with an 1850 on the SAT who got into MIT. If your essays really stand out and you are well in the range. Go for it!

Sorry for not replying on this forum for so long.

I agree with some of the other posters. While your test scores and GPA/rank are great, your EC’s are only average to above average. MIT only admitted ~8-9% of applicants last year, so you want to highlight your passions, especially ones in math/science fields.

You may be more fit for Ivies (e.g. “that other school down Mass Ave” as MITers call it), but that’s entirely your decision. Good luck!

Also, don’t worry too much about a 3 in AP Stats. MIT doesn’t give credit for 5’s on AP Stats.

Thanks rspence that is reassuring. Any other peeps wanna chime in- I’ll chance back!

Okay, a 34, which ImSoAmbitious mentioned, is not going to hurt your chances at MIT (or anywhere, for that matter).

haha thank you emberjed. Bumping for other opinions.

MIT doesn’t care for legacy
