<p>Hello there! For anyone willing to chance a student that is eager to see how they stack up against colleges, here is my list of schools:
Colgate, Tufts, Brandies, Carnegie Mellon, Fordham, Northeastern, Boston University, Lehigh, Bucknell (have a few other schools but they're safeties I'm confident about, eg. Rutgers)</p>
<p>Grades and Scores:
- 4.0 GPA (weighted, school does not give information on unweighted). Have only had A's and only 4 B's in high school career.
- Class Valedictorian (out of about 100 students)
- SAT 1: 1900 (1930 Superscore)
- SAT 2's: Just took Biology and Math, predict over 600
- ACT: Taking this Saturday, practice ACTs show scores between 29-31
- Honor Classes throughout high school, only allowed to take AP's by junior year
- Junior Year AP's: U.S. History, U.S Government and Politics, and Psychology, 5's on all of them
- Senior Year AP's: Biology, Italian, Literature, and Calculus</p>
<p>Extracurricular:
- Varsity Soccer
- Quiz Bowl Captain
- Vice President of NHS and NIHS
- Class Secretary
- Senior Editor of School Newspaper </p>
<p>Essays and Rec's:
- Writing essays is one of my strong points and have been highly praised by English teacher's on their composition.
- Have 4 letters that have been done, each of them that I believe think highly of me</p>
<p>Hooks: Come from a low income Hispanic family. I've had to take a up a job that has 20 - 24 hours work weeks (excluding extra hours that they force me to work, sometimes 10 hour shifts) to help pay for my own expenses and support my family. </p>
<p>So how do I look?</p>
